Off-peak Electricity Utilization in Tempered Glass Production

Glass tempering process utilizes electricity to heat the glass panels to about 650C and then rapidly cool by blowing air.

Heat cost is about 70% of the total operation cost of a tempering oven.  Most of tempered glass oven is only operated at night to save on electricity cost.

PE’s HeatrixTM system can utilize off-peak electricity to generate and store the heat for any time use

3x capacity expansion or 3 time faster pay-back for the major capital item

Much more stable temperature (from the nature of PCM) and uniform temperature profile for better yield.
